A ranking from the business publication Financial Times and research company Statista lists Aleap as one of Europe’s Leading Start-up Hubs of 2025.

“Aleap has achieved a lot since we started in 2016. Each day we work hard to provide a community that allows high potential health startups to thrive. Many thanks to our alumni companies and partners who shared their Aleap experience with the Financial Times and contributed to our acknowledgement in this ranking”, says Shane West, Head of Advisory at Aleap.

Aleap is a non-profit incubator that offers a community for health startups. Their mission is to facilitate innovation and value creation by helping ambitious health entrepreneurs and companies create new products better and faster. Industry experts collaborate with the incubator to provide the members with knowledge, networks and services so the entrepreneurs can focus on their core business.

Europe’s start-up scene, including incubators and accelerators, is growing. All the programs promise support for entrepreneurs, yet accessing information about their quality can be challenging. To help address this, the research firm Statista has partnered with The Financial Times and Sifted, a news and events platform focused on Europe’s start-up community, to compile a ranking of the top-rated and most recommended programs with the strongest track record.

The 2025 ranking highlights 150 start-up hubs. The primary factor in determining the top hubs was feedback from alumni who had completed at least one program at a given institution. Additionally, input from external experts—such as venture capitalists, angel investors, entrepreneurs, and scholars—was taken into account. The analysis also considered the success of start-ups emerging from each hub.

“This recognition is a testament to the incredible work of our alumni companies, mentors and the whole community—their feedback and support have helped shape Aleap into a thriving hub for health startups”, says Aksel Tunold, Head of Incubator at Aleap.
