Meet researchers from SINTEF and UiO, along with startups from Oslo Science Park, sharing their insights on the topic of circular economy. The event will feature brief presentations, a Q&A session, and an opportunity to meet the speakers afterwards.
In a circular economy, products and services are designed for longevity, reuse, and recycling. It contrasts with the traditional linear economy by promoting a closed-loop system where materials are kept in circulation, reducing environmental impact and depletion of raw materials.
Senior researcher Kari-Anne Lyng represents the UiO Sustainability Lab and will discuss how the environmental impacts of a circular economy can be measured. SINTEF researcher Mari Wardeberg will share her findings on how national policy strategies can drive the transition towards a circular economy. The companies Grin, Loopfront and Høine are invited to show how transitioning to a circular economy can create new business opportunities.
