"This is far more than just an office space," says Bjørn Erik Reinseth, CEO of Oslo Science Park.
The park is home to around 300 companies and enterprises from academia, research and business at any given time, of which approximately 190 are start-up companies.
"The co-location of various businesses goes hand in hand with our main purpose - value creation by and for growth companies, and commercialization of research."
Oslo Science Park has a number of different office premises, from office suites with shared common areas to entire floors for larger companies. Being located at Oslo Science Park provides added value in the form of networking, access to professional environments and interesting events in our conference centre.

The park focuses on four key areas: life sciences, health, technology, and energy.
"All our activities align with these focus areas," says Reinseth.
Fifteen percent of the park's 60,000 square meters is dedicated to laboratories.
"Establishing laboratories involves significant challenges—there are substantial costs and complexities related to infrastructure, routines, and security. However, we are a research park, not just a business park, and facilitating research is central to our mission."
Oslo Science Park also provides a range of flexible solutions for businesses with evolving needs.
"Some companies here have expanded from just two employees to several hundred in just a few years. This sets us apart from traditional commercial properties. Our facilities are designed to support growth."
"This also involves strategic planning regarding which businesses to accommodate and their locations, fostering valuable interactions among companies," the CEO explains.
The park's numerous common areas play a vital role in this dynamic.
"These spaces serve as informal meeting rooms. Many discussions are non-confidential and can take place in more public settings. Additionally, having an on-site bakery and café encourages people from different industries to connect and collaborate."
