The park focuses on four key areas: life sciences, health, technology, and energy.
"All our activities align with these focus areas," says Reinseth.
Fifteen percent of the park's 60,000 square meters is dedicated to laboratories.
"Establishing laboratories involves significant challenges—there are substantial costs and complexities related to infrastructure, routines, and security. However, we are a research park, not just a business park, and facilitating research is central to our mission."
Oslo Science Park also provides a range of flexible solutions for businesses with evolving needs.
"Some companies here have expanded from just two employees to several hundred in just a few years. This sets us apart from traditional commercial properties. Our facilities are designed to support growth."
"This also involves strategic planning regarding which businesses to accommodate and their locations, fostering valuable interactions among companies," the CEO explains.
The park's numerous common areas play a vital role in this dynamic.
"These spaces serve as informal meeting rooms. Many discussions are non-confidential and can take place in more public settings. Additionally, having an on-site bakery and café encourages people from different industries to connect and collaborate."
